L'Occitanne Hand Creams

I've never really been a big fan of hand creams in the past. I didn't think they were necessary, but these 2 L'Occitane hand creams have made me completely change my mind.

First off they smell absolutely gorgeous, the scent is nice and strong, not too strong (in my opinion). The cream itself is so thick, it really feels like its going to do your hands some good. Eventhough the cream is thick it doesn't take forever to sink in. Don't you just hate sitting and waiting for a cream or lotion to sink in, it makes me not want to apply the cream in the first place.

The 2 tubes I purchased are the 10ml sizes, unfortunately this size doesn't seem to be available on the website but I have managed to find both scents in the 30ml sizes, which you can find here : Shea Rose Scent and Shea Butter Scent

Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation Review

I'm sure you've seen the new Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation by now. I am a big fan of the Maybelline foundations so I knew this was one I had to try.

Name : Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation
Price : £7.99
Available : In drugstores and most supermarkets
Consistancy : Whipped Gel
Coverage : Medium
Application : I find it best to use my fingers for this, I haven't tried a sponge so I cannot comment on that method but I don't like applying this with a brush. It blends very well, no excessive buffing in needed. The only thing is that I find a little more product than I thought I would but I like a fuller coverage so that may just be my personal preference.
Lasting Power : I have oily skin so most foundations don't last all day without touch ups. This, on me, lasts a good few hours and by my standards I am more than happy with the staying power of this foundation
Overall Rating : 8/10
Would you repurchase? : I would definitely repurchase this foundation.

The Body Shop Blueberry Body Scrub-Gelee

This scrub is one of my absolute favourites. It smells so good (just like purple skittles) and exfoliates your skin so gently. Eventhough this scrub is gentle it gets the job done and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. It contains Community Trade honey from Ethiopia, made from the nectar of thousands of wildflowers. Doesn't that sound simply stunning?
As a frequent tanner I know how important body scrubs are. Its a massively important part of your regime and shouldn't be missed.
If you want to get your hands on this simply gorgeous scrub now is the time as it's in the sale and has an extra 40% off with the code 19804 and is just £3.90 here
Have you tried this body shop scrub? Or any of the others? What are your thoughts?

Homeware Wishlist : Kitchen Edition

It's been a while since I last blogged but today I am back with a homeware post. I have been obsessed with homeware recently, I literally want to redecorate the whole house! But first I'm starting with the kitchen. I want the kitchen to consist of obviously a cooking area but a I also want a nice space with a sofa to sit and enjoy a peaceful cup of tea. I'm going for a mainly grey and white theme with lots of pretty little bits added here and there. So here goes, here's my wishlist....

Childhood Reminising

These days the things I seem to remember doing yesterday are actually things I did over 10 years ago! Where does the time go? So I thought I would put together a post all about the good and bad things about the 90's/00's. Here goes :

Things I Miss

1. More Magazine - I loved that magazine as a teen, I never missed an issue, sadly it no longer exists.

2. The Hills - During my late teens I was obsessed, not just with LC but with the whole idea of living in LA and living that lifestyle. I was convinced I would live like that one day.

3. Sitting in front of the tv watching smtv live and cduk with a bowl of cereal on a Saturday morning. - This is more of a throwback to quite a few years ago but I loved it as a child, ant, dec and cat. Who remembers chums and wonkey donkey?

Things I Don't Miss

1. Having to get off the internet when your mother wanted to make a phone call and that phone call seemed like the longest call in the history of phone calls ever! Can I say call anymore?

2. Having a mobile phone with no camera. Nokia 3210 anyone?

3. Having to sit in front of the cd player on a sunday afternoon listening to the charts on the radio with a poised finger, ready to press record when you're favourite song was being played. All recorded onto a tape! No cd's and definitely no music downloads back then.

Do you remember any of this? What are favourite and least favourite things about the 90's/00's?
